Who we are

Night Owl Cinema is run by Event Production Services Limited, based in Tauranga, New Zealand. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry or request our fundraiser planner, we collect what you give us — usually your name, email, phone number, organisation, event date, location and any notes about your event.

Our website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and collects things like your device type, rough location and the pages you view. It does not tell us who you are.

If you message or comment on our Facebook or Instagram pages, Meta shares that with us under its own terms.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, quote and plan your event, send the resources you asked for, and improve our website and marketing.

We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run the business: our email provider (Resend), Google Analytics, our website host (Vercel), and Meta for our social media pages. Some of these store data outside New Zealand.

Social media posting

We use a Meta app to publish posts to our own Facebook Page and Instagram account. It only accesses pages and accounts we manage, and it doesn't collect information about the people who view or interact with our posts.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking details as long as we need them to deliver your event and meet our tax and accounting obligations, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email bookings@nightowlcinema.nz and we'll sort it out. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
